Luncheon for New Graduates

The Department of Economics of the University of Ottawa is proud to invite alumni, students and professors to the annual Luncheon for New Graduates. Join us on March 31, 2017 to celebrate the Department of Economics’ newest graduates while enjoying a delicious lunch and listening to a short talk by guest speaker Dr. Aldo RustichiniThis event is organized as part of the Canada and the World Economy Lecture Series.

The Economics departments of uOttawa and Carleton University recently decided to establish the Ottawa Carleton Graduate School of Economics, and are celebrating the establishment of the School with a conference on March 24-25.  Amongst the distinguished speakers are David Card (labour economics, University of Berkeley) and John List (introduction of experiments to economics methodology, University of Chicago), who are both widely expected to be future winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics.  The conference will take place on the uOttawa campus on the 24th, and at Carleton on the 25th.  If you wish to participate, you can register at https://socialsciences.uottawa.ca/economics/about-department/ocgse/inaugural-conference.  Following the scientific events on the 24th, there will be a special Convocation Ceremony at which a doctorat honoris causa will be awarded to Card and List, and this will be followed by a reception.
